12 year old girl was a Stripper at a Dallas club

The sixth-grader danced at Diamonds Cabaret over a two-week period late last year, authorities say. They also say they found a 17-year-old girl working in the club in January.”If they’re not shut down, it’s like they’re giving them permission to have underage girls dancing and working in that club,” said the mother of the 12-year-old.

The mother is not being named because her daughter, a runaway at the time of the incident, is considered a sexual assault victim.Operators of the Diamonds Cabaret at 2444 Walnut Ridge St. did not return calls for comment. Their sexually oriented business license expires in November.

The mother of the 12-year-old girl said her daughter ran away in early November. She said the family frantically began looking and her husband finally found their daughter in late November. She was then interviewed by police.

12-year old that looks like a 20 year old, what are they putting in the water in Texas?

That’s your big question out of this? A 12 year old girl ends up working at a strip club because she ran away and your wondering about puberty?

How bad was her family life that she needed to run away? Should the parents even have custody if the kid was willing to go to those lengths to escape? Why didn’t the girl have enough self respect or common sense to find a differnt way to live? Those are the questions we need to be asking!

It is ridiculous to expect or even suggest a child find better means of living – not to mention a child that is already encountering domestic/family issues increasing her mental stress level. Physical & sexual development doesn’t mean she is capable and mature enough to make sound decisions– or to even know how to seek out help.

This a clear example of the club exploiting her desperation and the Dallas legal system failing to adopt appropriate legislation for prevention & accountability. I don’t agree with some of the stipulations the government places on the adult entertainment industry – but there should be a zero tolerance approach to “adult entertainment” businesses guilty of child exploitation and endangerment.
